Louisiana still under the impact of Ida in the coming days

Services to the Port of New Orleans may be canceled or delayed

The passage of hurricane and storm Ida along the east coast of the United States in recent days has left a trail of destruction in Louisiana, Tennessee, New York and New Jersey. Born as a tropical storm in the Atlantic Ocean, Ida hit the southeastern US as a Category 4 hurricane, before returning to a storm, also with strong winds and gusts of water.

Amidst the consternation and work of authorities and rescue and health professionals who are making efforts to help the affected areas, the expectation is that the effects on economic activities may last a few more days.

The most affected state, Louisiana will have the Ports of New Orleans and Baton Rouge (BTR) closed on Monday, US Labor Day, as well as Tuesday.

Delays in deliveries are also expected. Craft USA continues to closely monitor the situation. If in doubt, call one of our experts. We are ready.
