Craft takes the biggest step of its history: Craft USA

2020 is certainly a historical year for Craft. Navigating amidst the world’s pandemic and the challenges that came with it, the company kept a steady focus on its people, aligning technology and well-being, launched new products and services and laid the ground work for what is to become its biggest step in 23 years. In December, we start our first operation outside South America: Craft United States.

Craft USA opens its doors, following the steps of another project with the company’s DNA: to be a reference in procurement of freight in the markets in which it operates, with the development of its LatinPRO procurement specialists brand. “The better you buy, the more you sell”, is what LatinPRO and its associated freight forwarders stand for. It is from this same perspective that Craft founder Marcellus Hansford once conceived the largest group of ocean freight procurement from Asia to South America, WSL, based in Hong Kong. This new venture focuses on the purchase of U.S. domestic transport services, FCL and air contracts for its members, whether they are Craft customers or not, and it is there that we find our greatest backing for the launch of Craft USA.

Set in motion with bases in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Miami, Craft USA brings forth on day one its scope of ocean lcl and fcl and trucking services to all its customers in South America and Italy, and from there will develop each new route for the rest of the world with great care for its service stability, keeping true to its business model of only offering its own services, without co-loading and with total control of operations, to its freight forwarding customers. It will also remain with the current airfreight services and its current local partners.

The country’s activities will be directed by Bruno Crelier (bruno.crelier@e-craft.com), in the position of Managing Director, and by Richard Marquez (richard.marquez@e-craft.com), as Commercial Director.

“We launch ourselves once again into the sea, as in our early days, to open paths, to grow and show the value of American entrepreneurship to the world,” says Marcellus. “Always with our DNA as a neutral consolidators, supported by the best specialists in each area of logistics, in close connection with each local culture and its people.”

To all the customers and partners that have walked with us this far, our sincere thank you.

The upcoming weeks will be filled with further news on platforms, services and contacts. Stay tuned!
